RE: LLY and Predator = Smoke P0101 and P0700 errors

I don't have California Emissions on the truck (as far as I know). I live in broke state of Michigan, bought the truck in Illinois from the original owner two years ago.

LLY and Predator = Smoke P0101 and P0700 errors

I recently had the upgrade on my Predator so I can upgrade it via the Internet/Serial Cable.

I installed the 65hp tune three days ago and have been trying to let the allison learn the new power.

Driving around town I blowing massive smoke when leaving a traffic light or stop sign (not hitting it ...

Thanks for the input rydnhi4x4

So do you leave it in Tow Haul mode which I believe would cause that hard shifting in the city (as I believe it is designed to do so it will utilize the engine and trans to slow you down versus your brakes).

What is the worst that can happen if I leave my Diablo at ...

Vehicles Supported

Will Trinity ever be available for the 05 GMC Duramax (LLY)?

Why is it only the newer vehicles that get the cool gadgets?

Can I tow with it set on 65? Will it hurt the trans? (its a 5000lb enclosed trailer)

Also I am guessing that driving around town versus highway will help the trans learn faster (because of all the shifting it does in city driving versus highway driving) Is that a correct assumption?

Does the trans have to relearn after every time I change the setting (45, 65, 85, 120) or is it once I set it I can forget it?

If you can't tell, I'm just so confused on the trans self learning thing.

About how long does it take for the tranny to relearn?

My biggest issue with using the Predator on my 2005 LLY is the amount of smoke that it throws out my MBRP exhaust system even at slow take offs.

I don't mind the truck shooting its power signal of smoke when the race is on, but when I'm just ...

Fuel Indicator Wrong with Diablo Tune

The oddest thing happened to me this past weekend.

First issue is with the SMOKING
I just set my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD CrewCab 4x4 Duramax Diesel to the Tow Setting because I needed to pull a somewhat small enclosed trailer on a 6 hour tour. (Since then BLACK smoke started pouring out my MRBP ...

RE: Holy Smoke Batman!

Just tested the correct way of adjusting tires and like magic it works. For the Goodyear 285/75/16 the first one I tried 285/69/16 worked like a charm. Checked at 0-60 and matches exact the whole way.

After having it on the STD-65hp tune, I just got on it a few times and it seemed to clear her ...

RE: Holy Smoke Batman!

Thanks Mike..

Let me try the tire adjustment again by entering the stock first and those tries mentioned above again (Explains why it never changed).

I also submitted an RMA to take advantage of your newer programmers... bummer I loose the EGR option but I don't use it now anyhow.

I wonder if by ...

3. 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD CrewCab (LLY Duramax 6.6)

ISSUE #1 (Tire Size Adjustment needs adjusting)
I first wanted to correct my tires because I have upgraded from the stock 245 tire to the Goodyear 285/75/16 and I read about 2-3mph slower on my speedo then what my GPS reads.

So I ...

RE: fuel mpg

I noticed my biggest increase in MPG with the addition of the MBRP exhaust.. of course greedy as I am I want even better MPG so I also got Diablo (far cheaper then the Edge w/Attitude) and have tried the tow haul setting. Recently after adding a GPS I realized my mpg is not accurately calculated due ...

Re: RE: Tire size with GPS

I have 285/75/16 on mine, but I had to enter 265/75/16 to get my speedo right on using a GPS.

When you had yours set at 285/75/16 was your speedometer slower then what your GPS stated or faster?

I used Diablo to change my tire size but it doesn't seem to have changed my speedometer at all which ...

RE: Tire Size Calibration

Thanks Mike for your response. I would of tried doing just that but I downloaded the tire_conversion.xls and got totally lost.

Just to make things clear (so I don't assume) are you saying the DIC won't be accurate after changing the tire size? Or was that more a sarcastic humor in saying that the ...

Tire Size Calibration

Okay, here is a stupid question for someone.

I would like to use the Diablo Sport Predator to program my 2005 Sierra 2500 to know what size tires I have so hopefully the speedometer is accurate and the MPG is accurate and the amount of gallons consumed is accurate.

Currently everything is off ...
