can I hook up the programmer as much as I want and to and change things. am I going to hurt anything by doing this. i'm new to the whole tuner thing I was just curious

I INSTALLED MY PROGRAMMER LAST NIGHT. I DID THE 87 TUNE. THE INSTRUCTION WEREN'T VERY CLEAR. SO ANYWAY WHEN I WAS DONE MY MDS WAS STILL ON. I WENT BACK THRU THE TUNE ON MY TRUCK AND STILL COULDN'T TURN IT OFF. DO I HAVE TO DUMP THE FACTORY TUNE BACK IN THE TRUCK AND THEN START COMPLETLY OVER. I ...

I'm new the whole tuner deal. My question is when I buy the 8300 tuner for my 2014 ram 1500. I want to shut the mds off and I know the tuner will do that. But can it be done with all three tunes in the hand held? Or do you have to do something special?
