The back-up was saved and then the tune went into the U7140 as "custom tune loaded"
The tune you sent went into the U7140 ok but just wouldn't go into the car itself.
It comes up on the display as the exact tune you sent but then the above message comes up.

Right I tried it and the tune went into the device ok.

On putting it in the car, original back up got saved ok but at the stage of putting your tune in, I got;

The custom tune will not be used as it does not match the original tune for this vehicle (6e5924f8:b47e86d1)

Ok, screwed up.
Car was in getting stuff seen to and the guy asked me if I wanted the latest update from Ford.
In light of my issues, I agreed to it over the phone.
So the ecu has been reflashed, however, the tune in the car was a canned tune-it wasn't the "original back-up"(stock).
Car is fine but ...

So the vehicle was fine for 40 miles then the vehicle started having issues driving? The tune does not physically change, if you are having this much trouble i would say that there is an issue with the vehicle. You have already put the stock airbox on and returned the vehicle to stock correct? Does ...

We need to verify that the tune wrote properly. Please write the custom tune to the vehicle, then head to the computer and let the tool read out the last tune written by hitting Get Tune file from tool then post that back. We'll need to verify that before continuing to troubleshoot the issue at ...
