Thank you both! That was very, very helpful. And, I appreciate the courtesy.
I will look into what the differences are, and when I find out, I will post them here so others with my calid will know.
Thanks again.

Dan,
I have a similar instance to yours. I'm using a U7136(05 v6 version). I had the dealer recently reflash my PCM to the latest CALID. It is revision "m" for this PCM. I connected my Predator and told me I needed to downgrade the CALID to "L". I did a bit of searching to find out what the difference in the CALID(s) is? Seems the "M" version for this PCM has a May 09 TSB to address a cam sensor throwing a code in error. All the other TSB's are the same as the "L" CALID upto that point. Now since my car didn't throw the cam sensor error prior to the "M" update, I went ahead and "downgraded" to the "L" CALID, and put on the 93 Diablo tune.Seems to be fine. As I understand it, Diablosport will eventually release a DCX update to the newest CALIDs. Then I'll be able to go back to the "M" CALID should I need to return to the dealer.
Hope this makes sense and gives you a bit more info.
I also hope to see DiabloSport doing a better job at keeping things current.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Still waiting for DS to respond
Thanks for that info. That's kind of why I was leery of downgrading to the AE calid. My Challenger had a check engine light start flashing, and it started missing badly. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the Predator tune, since no one else has had this problem. However, I will have to check on the updates to see if the AF calid upgrade was to address this specific problem. If it was, I won't be able to go back for fear of the problem reoccuring. I'm sure DS will evetually come up wtih a program to support the AF. In the meantime, I am trying to get the dealer to help me out with the differences.
Thanks again!

Dan,
Looked up what is new(and the only listed TSB) for CALID 05187899AF over 05187899AE. It shows TSB: 18-021-09, which is something to do with driveability with MDS and/or shift improvements. Was this related to your problem using CALID 05187899AE? If not there is something else going on with your car, return to the dealer... If not, and you want to try the Predator, then you should be OK to "downgrade" and load it up. You need to make sure you do the latest .crom file and DCX update on the tool before you try it out...
Just another $.02

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Still waiting for DS to respond
Thanks again. Where did you find that? I'm new at this computer tuning. I long for the days when you could pop the hood, and with a couple of wrenches and a screwdriver, fix just about anything that was wrong. (yes, I'm that old) At any rate, I have a 6 speed and it doesn't have MDS. It sounds like the flash was unnecessary for my vehicle. Now I'm back to the original problem of the CEL flashing and the bad miss. It looks like a return trip to the dealer is in order.
Thanks again!

Go there.
Search for the AF calid for your car in that pdf.
Find the TSB number(s).
Google the TSB number.

I tried accessing that when you first posted it, and again now, and it says internet explorer can't open the site. I'll keep trying and thank you.

I was able to access that and it was interesting. My vehicle doesn't seem to be affected, yet they reflashed it anyway. I'm going to check with the dealer to see why they did it. Thanks for your help!
