C6 LTFT Question using 7194 and the new update 8r07

Post by MikeBotz »

I have a 2006 C6 with the A6. I logged data with my laptop (Diablo only does about a minute of logging)

After Logging about 50 minutes of data I have 216K lines of data in Excel. It took a while for the macros to run. After running them I now have almost 93,000 lines of data.

Now when I do my LTFT Average there is over a little over a 1 difference between LTFT Bank 1 and Bank 2. 4.08 to a 2.97

Should I use the average of the 2? I don't think there was a setting for each bank when I looked.

Would anyone with a little more experience like to take a look at my file to see if I did it right?

My 02 seems way out of range also. The average is .508 and .506. I am not sure if averaging the 02 tells me anything, but when checking it a in a few places at WOT it is in the low .8 range

Thanks, Mike

Interesting.
You can use an average of the LTFTs from one bank to the other to base your adjustments.
The O2s will constantly vary at part throttle, but low .8XX seems a bit low at WOT.
What gear/rpm were you doing the logs at?

I don't remember what gear, probably 4th or 5th and about 2200 was one spot I just looked at. There is so much data on the C6 it seems.

When check further there are 0 in some spots that was bringing it down when I averaged the WOT 02 (I just averaged a bunch of spots when I saw 100% on the command throttle). It’s usually .86 to .87 taking out the 0 lines.

:?:

Also I am having a problem attaching my log to this post for anyone to look at.

Thanks

log was too big LOL excel wouldn't open up the whole 16MB csv file LOL

anyway, what I did get out of it is... your average ltft's are at +1.9xxx and +2.2xx

so I would start by adjusting your injector slope to -2%.

you also looked a little lean at WOT, so adjust both rpm ranges in the PE setting to be +2%.

sorry it took a while to get back to ya... I had 6 other people that sent me their logs too LOL

Thanks for the reply. I tried to send you an excel file with 5 tabs, 10 minutes each to be under the 65,000 line max for each tab in excel 2003 but the E-mail was returned as file too big. In the 2007 version it opens all 229,000 lines of data. I d/l the demo version of office 2007.

I am going to change the tune and re log some data tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks again

yeah, workin' on your log now... takin' a while... that's a lot of friggin' data for the macro's to go through line by line... LOL

be back to ya in a bit...

EDIT:

ok, well, I don't see any WOT runs in your log, so I can't help ya with any PE settings. Did you accidentally filter out the WOT data??

For your normal cruise/driving, your average ltft's were 3.64 and 2.71 - so, adjust the injector slope to be -2%.

Do another log, with a good WOT run in there, and let's see where stuff is at. You only need to log for about 20 minutes - that'll be enough data. And then send me the unfiltered log.

Thanks!

On my slow laptop i just ran it overnight for the o2, and it did take overnight. Then the next few days for the others, they went faster.

I will do one later. how long should I hold the car at WOT while logging, 10 - 15 seconds at a time?

What would be better the .log, csv, or xml file?

Would it matter if I use datalogger 3.0, or 3.1 ? I saw that 3.1 had some issues sometimes when exporting the data.

Thanks, Mike
