2006 3500 5.9 engine surging
I bought a predator about 1 month ago truck was fine before i put it on. I put on on the performance economy tune and all of a sudden my truck hunts or surges when decelerating (sometimes real bad) and when at idle. Makes my truck sound like a bag of poop not to mention is dangerous.
Anyways return to stock bring to the dealership, new lift pump, and turbo , truck is running amazing (stock) Updated the predator to the latest version, retuned my truck to performance tune same issue. Ideas anyone

Try a different tune and see if it does it. Does it throw any codes when it surges

Put the Extreme tune on it today and it still did the same thing, returned to stock , tried the economy tune still does it.

Part number of tuner is 159402, checked with the tuner if there was any codes and there wasnt.

try this:
options/troubleshooting/restor original backup, then reload the tunes, see if that helps.

updated to 9R06
RE: 2006 3500 5.9 engine surging
The truck feels and sounds like it has a big ole cam in it. Shakes real bad too. Also how do i use the idle up feature? Sorry for so many questions, appreciate all the help.

I am having the same issue with my 2006 2500 5.9. Programmer is updated to 9R06 and still shakes and surges. I have done the Restore Original backup before and it has not helped. Surging and shaking happens in all levels, not so bad in Tow mode. Real bad in performance (which is what i want to run on)

Sounds like an injector to me. Rev it up in neutral, does it take a few seconds to come back to idle, or "stairstep" back down? You may have an injector bleeding fuel when its not supposed to. Happens ALOT

Sorry, trying to help. Somone asked a question and it had been a couple of weeks since a response. It seems to make sense to me that every time I read the same issue, I recommend the same solution...
