2001 DT 466 with an M1000 Powerpuck | no difference at all

Post by TunerTools »

Hi guys,
I have a customer with a 2001 DT 466 International. With an M1000 connected, there is no measurable difference at all in the HP or the way it runs and this has been checked on a local dyno there. It's not throwing any MIL light, not running any worse, but it's not running any better either, in fact it's like nothing was even plugged in.

Have you ever seen this before? I have not. I have seen a couple where the connections were wrong or the Powerpuck defective, but those all threw a MIL light and went into limp mode. In this case, it's like nothing was even plugged in.

Please advise
Cheers,
Lloyd

Lloyd, in this case it sounds like the diablo dial may be the culprit.

When the dial is unplugged (or not working) the puck is simply a pass through device, which is what sounds like is happening here.

If you have anopther puck, please try swapping out the dial (simple plug in), and if that works, we'll simply get another dial out to you asap.

Let me know.

Thanks

Hey Mike, there was some additional information he told me today that I didn't have before. It's definitely bad.
I'll email an RMA request in.

Are you sure the MAP is connected at the middle and the Fuel at the end?
