LTFT Question

Post by Rnhall »

I keep reading that when checking LTFT's you should be in the 2000 RPM range and I've also read you should be check LTFT's at cruise.
At 75 MPH my Vette is turning 1700 RPM's. So is it best to check LTFT's st cruise or drop down two gears and chack at 2000 RPM's?

yeah cruise at 2000ish, what ever gear it takes. Or cruise at 2000 and knock some cobwebs out of the car ;)

What would you expect to see when looking at the LTFT's at say 1600 RPM's Vs. 2000 RPM's?

yeah, dslogredux allows you to choose an rpm range that corresponds, as best possible, to your cruise RPMS --- 1800 to 2200 rpm in various increments thereof.

1600 is too low. Drop a gear and do around 2000 if you can.

I'm in the same boat. If I'm in 6th gear with my Corvette I would have to cruise at 82 MPH to show 1800 RPM's
Florida Highway patrol doesn't think kindly of this! :x

That is because I'm running with a 2:56 rear drive differential.
