RE: Still waiting
And it is a G but you knew that a year ago when i talked to yall on the phone and in a years time yall haven't came up with a fix or told anybody that if there vin has a G in eighth number then it won't work.

RE: Still waiting
and it was never stated anywhere throughout this whole thread before that you had a G in the VIN number, otherwise, you would have been told about it a long time ago...
even on the Trinity product page it says that G is not supported... so yes, it is known...
and dunno who you talked to on the phone a year ago, it wasn't me... and perhaps they didn't ask about the VIN or they weren't told that it was a G... but it has been known for a long time (more than a couple years) that G vin's are not supported...

RE: Still waiting
Well then yall should buy everybodys back since yall false advertised saying it would work on all 2011 gm trucks yall never said it wouldn't work if your eighth vin was a G.
RE: Still waiting
And why don't you give us all a honest answer on why yall can't make a fix for it what's the problem?
RE: Still waiting
it has always stated right on the Trinity product page, the inTune page, and the Predator page:
...vehicles with 8th digit in the vin G are not supported.
and I have no idea what the G issue is all about... obviously something different with the ecm module/programming, but I couldn't tell ya what... if they knew what the problem was, it wouldn't be a problem, heh...

SKPORTER, might be glad you didn't use the Trinity if you want to keep your 100K mile power train warranty. Read GM bulletin 04-06-04-054B.
Here's part of it: "General Motors does not support or endorse the use of devices or modifications that, when installed, increase the engine horsepower and torque. It is because of these unknown stresses, and the potential to alter reliability, durability and emissions performance, that GM has adopted a policy that prevents any UNAUTHORIZED dealer warranty claim submissions to any remaining warranty coverage, to the powertrain and driveline components whenever the presence of a non-GM (aftermarket) calibration is confirmed - even if the non-GM control module calibration is subsequently removed. Refer to the latest version of Bulletin 09-06-04-026 (V8 Gas Engines) or 06-06-01-007 (Duramaxâ„¢ Diesel Engines) for more information on dealer requirements for calibration verification."
Especially the part where it says: "even if the non-GM control module calibration is subsequently removed" Apparently GM can detect a tune having been removed.

I guess I don't understand how Diablosport can replace a factory tune file, return it back to stock but HP Tuner cannot without GM being able to detect a change? It's been discussed over on the HPT forum that "if you want to play then you have to pay". Not disputing what you claim but others have said differently.
Note what a reputable tuner has posted here: http://www.performancetrucks.net/forums ... 266/page2/

that's because hptuners or other handhelds don't write/flash the tune file the way that diablo's does... also helps when you have a GM calibration engineer (that worked for GM) on staff
CVN numbers are not touched/changed...

I had questions about add on equipment voiding the warranty, too. I can't remember where I got the info but, I believe SEMA went to court issue and the court rulled that the manufacutes had to PROOVE that the after market product caused any problems before voiding the warranty. I use synthetic fluids in my truck. GM would have a hard time prooving Mobile 1 oil caused a problem with the engine especially since GM uses Mobile 1 in any new Vette.
