crom update crash....

I was installing a crom for my 99 7.3l the old 79r1 or something because i had updated it to the new version and it still would not work, and the updater crashed and now i can't even load up to the main screen and the updater cannot find the predator to install a crom.... what can i do????

When your predator boots up what does it say ? (booting pstroke 73 or booting ford_7_3). This determines which revision you update into the predator.

it says booting ford_7_3,
and i cannot get to the main menu, it says application missing

In your DSDownloader, select "Options" and turn the AutoConnect off. Then select "Options" again and turn Legacy Connect on. Then, manually set the COM port and Baud Rate in the top left corner. Hit "Express Tune Mode" at the bottom and you will see the "Send CROM file to Predator" button. The update you were putting in is probably 8r05. You want to use the 7r19dZ. There are two different versions of the tool.

I went to put in the 7r19dz crom file and now i get a message cannotr load ford_7_3 application into ford_7_3_128k tool... am i trying to install the wrong crom file? and if so will the other crom file allow my to program my truck without issues?? i updated it to the 8r05 crom after i first got my programmer because it gave me a message saying vehicle not in database... so i updated it to the 8r05 and it gave me the same message... i then tried putting the 7r19dz on and this happened...

I tried updating with the crom file that you sent me and i got the same cannot load ford_7_3 application into ford_7_3_128k tool...

Hmm, I will have to look into that then because the file I sent you even states it is for the 128k tool. Give me a few minutes and I will send you an email.

thanks for the e-mail, i managed to load the 1st .crom file you sent, now i will have to see tonight if i can program my truck... will it still give me the vehicle not in database code?
