Either gotta replace the clutch or use a lower tune ;)

my bad!! you are right, i just tuned it to the tow and no slippage!!! But when I flip the switch on my power puck to the 50hp it will slip but not quite as much as befor. Has anyone priced out a south bend clutch, just the clutch, no labor? is there anybody in the san antonio area running this combo on a stock truck?

You will need the clutch, solid flywheel, and upgraded hydraulics. I paid about $1200 for all that plus installation. Mine is the CON OFE and it holds all the power my truck can make....

I thought so, its getting worse even on tow mode from a 60mph punch i am still getting slippage, now i am even worried about down loading anything now< i dont want to have to wait for all these up grades, i have the puck but i cant stack'em to many pony's for rhe stocker, any cheap fixes for now untill i do the whole nine yards?
thanks

Sure. I'll sell you my stock clutch assembly with only 14000 miles on it.......

No fix that I know of. I slipped mine a couple of times but it never slipped on the tow tune no matter what I did.....

The South Bend holds the power while the stocker won't. Not much difference other than the SB being slightly harder to push in on the pedal....

There is more to enabling high idle on a 6-speed than just putting a tune in. There is a wire in the ECM that needs to be grounded..

Mine holds my 450hp just fine. Plenty of guys are putting down 500hp+ with the same exact clutch. My truck is probably putting down about 20-30 more hp than yours due to my bigger turbo. I would say you would be fine but you may want to get the South Bend FE clutch. It's still a single disc clutch but it is rated to hold more power than the OFE that I have...
I am happy with the power I am currently making. if you think you will want more power in the future then do yourself a favor and get the better unit.....

South Bend makes great clutches but if your still wanting a clutch that will support 500-600hp but not spend as much cash I would consider ValAir clutches. Great clutches at a great price. If your interested I can try and get ya a good price on one.
