intune says an error has occurred 12002

Post by hemi04345 »

I've done everything stage manual and what the website says and followed some other fourms said and still getting no where. It won't update and it says error 12002 .I plugged it to my truck and it says it needs a update to unplug it and update it. I have a 2004 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi, help me I want this thing to work. I see so many things wrong with the I tune. Is the trinity having the same problems?

The 12oo2 error is due to your firewall I believe. You have a Dodge so when it tells you to update after connecting to your truck it means it needs to disconnect from the truck and re-connect with the computer to download a new calibration for your truck and then you must go back to the truck and apply that update prior to any tuning.

the cal update is done by simply connecting to a PC and letting the intune.exe run and it will d/l the file for you.

I've hooked it to my PC a few times and when I do it loads with a red bar on the I tune and it goes to the I tune updater and it comes up with error 12002

either you have no internet or the firewall will not allow you to connect.

to adjust params, pick the tune, then choose the option to modify that tune.
