04' Cummins power puck???

i have a 04' (305hp) cummins, and i noticed that the 03's have a different # for the puck then the 04'.. why is that? mainly asking, i thought about tryin my buddies puck off his 03 on my truck?

Also, is it fine to run the predator on regular tunes, and still turn up the puck if i wanted? i didnt know if it matterd if it wasnt on the stack settings.

There are year to year differences in the way the pucks wire into the harness.
For best performance and safe EGTs you should use the provided Stack tunes when running the PowerPuck.

So if iam running my truck on "performance stack" settings, but have the power puck off, is it still fine?

The stackable tunes will produce a little less power than the non stackable tunes, they are completely safe to run with or without the puck.

Ok, so what if i run the predator on the 100hp non-stackabale tune, then decide to turn the power puck up, would that be fine? cause i run my predator on 100hp about all the time, and i would love to be able to just turn the puck on 90hp if i wanted that extra power...

You will get a check engine light related to fuel pressure if you run the non stack tunes with the puck. I forgot the exact P-code it gave.
