Wow, much slow, So bored

Post by banditxp »

Just got my inTune today. Plugged it in and ..........................................
First hour went by and it did the first update. Then Registered it.
Then.... Did more updates because i saw the ford one was missing and others needed updating as well.
45min and counting.................

Is this normal for the updates to take over an hour?

Also its seems frozen at the black inTune screen with he ? mark on top right but the 3 buttons in the center are not there.
I think its working because the usb drive is no longer showing in windows explorer :punisher:

But anyways :lamer:

is the group update file still sitting on the intune drive?
If so, reboot the tool and it will import the update.

Thanks

Hmm, when i reboot the tool it closes the app then I launch the intune app again and it says this:
intune D.png
intune D.png (605.66 KiB) Viewed 9133 times
I hit ok then it sits at this screen indefinitely :

Mine does the exact same.... have not updated it in quite some time. Gets to the last image shown above saying DO NOT UNPLUG loading etc..... just stays there indefintley and is somewhat hot while it is there. I've let it sit like that for several hours a couple of times now. Unplug it, plug it in again and it goes through the same process and stick in the same place. It does check for updates again but does not download anything, I'm assuming since it has already downloaded the updates which are sitting on the removable drive part (only a couple of mb of free space left - the group_update.itfg and a few .pz files are on there). I've tried not letting it autorun and right clicking run as admin, etc to no avail. It seems that the device simply cannot actually install the update files. Also tried removing the tune on my truck and putting it back to stock to make sure the device is clear. No difference.

For the price point on these (realistically it would have probably cost about $10 more to manufacture them with a faster processor and USB controller) I'd have paid ten or twenty bucks more for it to perform like a $200+ device.

Going to go give it a try on another computer. Maybe my main work machine is too fast (this is a design workstation, Dell Precision T7600 with dual hex-core Xeon, 96gb ram, quad SSD's, running x64 Windows 7 Pro and a bunch of design applications) or some of the server class components are freaking it out. Will try the shipping computer in a few which is a basic x32 Windows 7 pro desktop machine.

Edit to add- figured I've just go at it and try and figure things out on my own. I copied all of the .pz files to my computer (just in case I needed them) then deleted them from the device. This time it would update but then would error about could not update current version with version something...

From the forums here I manually downloaded intune-1ro3y.itf and 1ro4d to my computer. After the last failed update the only file still in the root of the intune was the info.xml file. I just copied the 1r03y file to it. The device automatically started loading the file, copied, verified and rebooted. It took the file and upgraded itself the 1r03y release no problem without using the intune updater program. Then I copied the 1r04d file to the intune (this is all to the main intune drive, not the cdrom drive). The device again automatically and immediately showed on its screen that it was copying then verifying the file. Then it automatically rebooted itself and was good to go again. This time I did do the autoplay on the updated program (cdrom) and that program did its thing and the updated program then reported the device is now up to date.

My suggestion would be for Diablosport to code the updater program to let the webserver know what the current version is so that the updater will first download the correct next required version. What it seems to do is just sees a newer version and tries to install it even though there are possibly intermediate versions that MUST be installed BEFORE the newest version can be loaded.

Yep, for what you pay, slow as a snail, in every action...
Even booting up, you watch the red line go across the screen four times.
Been sitting here on "Preparing" for over a half hour now, awesome...

SO much for a dual core CPU, must be like 333Mhz dual core...

Just go to Amazon to see all the complaints...

Even the power levels they advertise, I didn't get the Economy Tune.

Poorly made and manufactured for a $350.00 expense.

No only that? What kind of device like this doesn't even have a
rechargeable battery and power button. Every time you
plug it in, it's the same date and time on your files. Can't
even keep date and time? That's pretty messed up...

No tuner offers a battery that I have ever seen, really no need for it :)
