Yeah I am sure temps play a role. However i am not able to reproduce this issue here on this vehicle. I think i have had about 15 different 06-07 trucks here an none has displayed the issue, so at this point i would really need a vehicle in house in order to try to solve it.
I am sure it is a genuine issue but if I can not reproduce it I can not fix it.
So if anyone of you guys are local to us S.Florida, shoot me an e-mail and i will set up a time to come in and try to solve it.
I know this is not what some of you want to hear but that is all i can do for now.

He he, nah I got put on different projects.
After playing around with this truck here today i feel all warm and cozy again.
BTW, i am pretty sure i found the key counter solution and speed limiter, you guys might like that.

Its about 28 degrees this morin were I live. The truck started up fine but when the truck raises its rpm level to 1000 then the idel gets real rough. I have also experience rough idel during the summer. calid#35325853A

Temperature doesn't affect mine, it does it no matter the setting. I live in Southern NM = hardly ever below 30 degrees, but i have went up north into Colorado since I've had this thing and it does the exact same thing. It does it worse when the intake heater kicks in and creates a load, and it does it much worse when i kick it up to 1000 or higher on high idle. Sometimes when i crank it up whether the first time for the day, or the tenth, it will idle like it is missing on two cylinders. It really feels like to me that two injectors are programmed out of time compared to the rest.

Johan, is there a way to fool the temperature sensor into thinking it is colder that -5C for testing? I have an 07 with the 5.9L and i have the rough idle issue when it is colder than -5C, the truck comes up on high idle after 2-minutes and the idle becomes rough. I was told that the new cummins has something in the program that is suppose help the engine warm up faster when it is on high idle, this in turn does cause somewhat of a surge at idle even in the factory tune i noticed. However the problem does not appear when you idle the truck up with the cruise. I have talked to Mikel a few times about the issue and i am not sure if these are linked, but i thought i would ask and see what you think?
I live in Edmonton, Alberta and there are not too many days lately where it is is warmer than -5C, so i haven't had my programmer installed for a few months now. I hope to get this figured out so i can re-install ASAP.

Not sure how relevant this is to your concerns but I noticed my 06 idling really rough on a cold start, it sounds like it's trying to do the 3 cylinder idle but not raise the RPM's. Oddly enough the only time it does this is when my manual high idle doesn't work even though it was selected during the tune install. I have learned lately that I can go back in, modify the parameters to enable the high idle and back out of it without loading the full tune and everything smooths out once the high idle works properly. I've also found a procedure now to get my tire size adjustment working, it only takes 2 full downloads now to get everything working properly.
March 2008 issue of DIESEL POWER magazine page 25 is a full page ad from RPM OUTLET showing only Diablo products and lo and behold the U7131 can change tunes on the fly.......I want one of those!
My only regret with my Predator is that I sold my S M arty to a buddy after buying Diablo, they've really tweaked their programs lately and we downloaded the newest ones into another 06 and it works great!
This is too funny, try typing s m a r t y without spaces (smarty) see?, it won't let it show up on this site, I love it! What are you guys? 3 years old?
