Wow, we got CEO of the company in on this.....sorry that it has to come to this.....but we always appreciate big guys jumping in on something everyone has been asking for weeks after weeks.....now Mike L is saying 3-4 weeks after LX Predator release....for DiabloSport sake I really hope so. Not attacking anyone but how can anyone blame someone from getting so upset from promises that they can't keep.....don't get me wrong as Mike/CEO and Mike L stated "been on this development for months day in and out".....trust me I believe you. Like everything in life you stick to things until you get it right. But from your end of things you should at least know when the tool will be ready or close to ready, if its not ready just plainly tell consumers and do not attempt to give dates or allow any retailers to do pre-order.....that is how you upset consumers. I know you will come back and say, we did not ask anyone to go ahead with pre-orders, you are correct but after all that hype on your product do you really think people will not want one, anyone with half the brain can tell you that. That is call marketing, but nothing wrong with that, you pay top dollar for people out there doing that.
The part I like most is CEO inviting HemiSport78 to go visit them, nice touch on DiabloSport part. I think HemiSport78 should go visit them and see for yourself and come back and report to everyone on what your findings are. You might even come back home happy with one of those Predator for your vehicles....wink wink!

I am sure the tool will be a great one if/once it comes out but I have decided to move on with another programmer....who knows I may be using DiabloSport someday and be calling Mike L., he has been great and keeping himself decent with some people pretty much yelling at him...great job Mike L.

HemiSport78...you do what you have to but don't waste your time getting too upset, if you must get your refund and move on like myself. Who knows, someday you may be using DiabloSport product once they have everything on track, then they can claim they are the best but for now let them prove that to all of us.

Good luck DiabloSport!

Hey Hemroid78 - You know the L cars got hosed by Superchip right ? They kept kicking back teh LX tuner because they want the truck tuner out first. It was something like 6-9months late.

Go away, you cheese eating, frog leg sucking frenchie

I have a Cummins and love my tool, I am now looking for one to give to my sister for her hemi truck at Christmas. So have been following these threads a bit. Lots of action here. Anyway for me to see a company try to perfect there product before giving it me is very encouraging. Its not like the trucks dont drive without the chip anyway. What would this forum look like if they rushed it and the product didnt work right for everyone. Software companys are always getting there stuff out on the market not working correctly so they can sell. With the mind set of giving patches afterwards. A very crappy way to do business. I feel very fortunate that I happen to get a Diablo product. It was given to me as well. Build it right and it will sell. Looking forward to the finished product.

Thank you,

Please ignore the massive level of ignorance present here.

The trucks have presented new and unique challenges that we must work with, and that is going to require a bit more time to get it done properly.
We are working on this non stop....no one here has taken a break in over 2 months.
We are living, breathing, eating Hemi!!

I can assure you the truck tool IS coming.
I do not yet have a release date, but I hear it SHOULD be ready within about 3-4 weeks of the car release.

Thank You

There's a reason for the expression: "Good things come to those who wait." We're speaking of real world time here not a time limit any specific purchaser decides is long enough. In accomplishing anything worth while, it takes as long as it takes. The CEO took his time to inform you of detailed specifics. If it's not good enough for you, "YOU" meaning anyone with an ax to grind, just move along to SC or some other boring tuning company you already know that has what you don't want. Stop crying in your beer and start celebrating the fact each day that goes by is one day closer we'll have our new toy. If you're not mature enough to understand, you probably shouldn't be seeking something you surely can't handle. And shouldn't be allowed to purchase. I'm not talking down to anyone or everyone, fact is, cut the crap and be mature about it or as the CEO said, hit the road.

No one's waited longer than us 03 DR owners and if it takes another year, I'm in. You know what the rest offer, if you hang in there, you'll discover what the best offer. FYI, I don't own stock in the company or a kissazz or am I related to anyone at DS either. I just what the best thing my money can buy and it's very rare to have the opportunity.

Thanx, Mike & Mike

while this is "good" news...it's still discouraging that the Challenger tuner is out...and the car isn't...

the challenger is the same drivetrain as the srt lx. So that dosent bother me 1 bit. The fact that they refuse to update us dr guys with anything ( timeline, progress, etc) sucks. The dr programmer will be the third I've bought from ds and its upsetting that they will not even throw us a bone. Even if its something we dont want to hear ( years out) its better to hear something.

Man, you have to understand, there is no timeline to give,
It is in the works, is all I can say.
Every time we try to give you guys more info, it turns into a war, and we get accused of leading people on, and trying to create preorders, I have no desire to get into that.

As the development of the tool moves along, we will keep you guys informed, just like we did with the Hemi LX tool, and with the V6 LX tool.

Thanks

I am in the process of finishing up the TCM coding for the DR's.. then I have one ECM family set to do.
Once I am done with that, I hand it over to the Predator engineers so they can implement everything.
Once they are done, then we can start putting trucks on the dyno again (we already tuned quite a few of the trucks so far).
The tool will support 2003 - 2008 DR's with full ECM, TCM, axle ratio/tire size adjustments, user adjustable parameters and full datalogging. Plus custom tuning support for those with modified trucks.

Like we said previously.. in order for us to produce a DR tool the way we want it to be done, it required hardware changes to the Predator. That in itself required re-writes to ALL Predator coding.. and that took some time.
Now that we are pretty much finished with the re-writes, normal development is back on schedule.
