there really needs to be a standard created and used across ALL manufacturers, so that this shit gets easier...
but either way, I still say you'd have to go to a dealer to find out that info...
Thanks for clarifying that Mike...
Oh believe me, all the American cars will be the same soon. LOL, AMC all over again. THE BIG ONE! and not the big 3 anymore.
no they are selling viper off to another firm. According to my friend who's sister works for chrysler, when GM buys chrysler there will only be jeep and mini vans.

just recieved my predator today and i guess i am not the only person having this problem!!!! I dont understand how you can sell a product without informing the customer that it may not work on all 08 vehicles. i hate to tell you also that after speaking with tech. support they say they will start working on it when the trucks are done. SO THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED! There should def. be some sort of compensation for this...... i was told a month to this day it will prob. be done. HAHA WHAT A JOKE.... I KNOW THESE THINGS TAKE TIME AND IT IS GONNA BE A HELL OF A LOT LONGER THAN THAT. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT SO FAR.... i know that it is not there fault that Chrysler updated the calids, but geez, work on it for the people that just put $400 in their bank accounts...
rather than talk about a class action over a $300 product, why don't you just send it back to whomever you bought it from like a normal person would? Lawsuits are really not the answers in scenarios such as this. There is NO product on the market that supports ALL the cal IDs ALL THE TIME (it is well and commonly known in the industry, and has been for years). You better get hypertech, superchips, jet, sniper, bullydog, edge, etc all in your lawsuit, too. All so you can get your $350 back. The same $350 you could get back by returning it to your retailer (which i have done for my customers a few times) You can also get your $350 back by telling your credit card company that you recieved product that didn't function. They will ask you send the product back to the retailer, although you get your money back immediately. You are a fucking idiot firing up class action blah blah blah. You will penalize a company that produces quality products, just because your pissed off it doesn't work on your V6. Your car still functions, you life moves on, your children are still breathing- does a functioning predator REALLY matter that much to your existence? Just send it back or call your credit card company. I do not represent diablosport nor their thoughts, these are my personal beliefs. MANY MANY MANY times in this industry i have received product that doesn't work properly when initially received by very large companies. I've had customers pissed off (myself being a customer included), but at the end of the day, when we tell them they are working on it and it's all we can do, they can appreciate it. It took chrysler 4-5 years to build the car and develop the programming, and your upset someone outside doesn't get it cracked in 6 months?

Hey Dyno, The issue is that Diablo are ignoring their existing customer base in favour of the quick buck of developing a new tool for Hemi trucks. Us V6 predator owners should get the support we deserve ahead of new development. The same thing will probably happen to the Hemi truck predator buyers in the future.... (Chrysler will change the calid's and their tuners will not work, but Diablo will be moved on to developing a tool for the next vehicle and ignore them too.) They obviously are after the fast dollar and are letting the support / customer service suffer. If Diablo products really are "quality" as you say, then they should back them up with "quality" service. And as for all the other stuff, we don't need your sermon on life.
Bottom line: If anyone buys something new and is doesn't work, it's the responsibility of the company to fix it in a TIMELY manner.
My credit card company didnt screw me so its not their problem. And if I go that route all I accomplish is getting my money back
What is it you really want if the product does not work for you right now then? What are you ENTITLED to as your great loss is making you suffer so?
This is your best way to get resolve if the dealer won't give you your money back. The credit card company immediately charges the transaction back to the person who swiped your card and takes the money out of their account and puts it back into yours. they then have to dispute it to get the money back out of your account. This is also why they have a dealer network, so the dealers take care of this for them. If you bought a new car, and it didn't start tomorrow- i'm pretty sure AAA wouldn't take you straight to detroit, it would go to a DEALER, like WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM. As far as interest is concerned, take your $400 (most people don't pay that as many have bought from EBAY whores). At a GOOD CD rate right now you'd receive 4.2% if you can get someone to write you one for two month period, or 2.5% in a good savings account, so therefore assuming the INTEREST you are concerned about, you would also be entitled to $2.80.
