New beta for unsupported 04 and 08, tune changes as well
Moderator: mikel
Well we have a feeling it might be a hardware issue with that Predator itself.
So it would have to come back here for us to check it.
If you want e-mail me and i will help you with the rma process as we want the Predator to go to engineering instead of repairs, we can prolly send you a new unit out once we get this one in.

05 I tryed the new crom w/good results on the performance of the truck.Only problem is I still am having the key recognition trouble after the new program has been written to the truck. The pred does not see the key as on but the new tune does write to the truck. Before it would make me go back to stock and start all over.looks like you allmost got it.This was w/the new beta put out yesterday. All in all truck runs GREAT.

for "better shifts", do you mean no tourque mangmt? It seems that s/c completely removed the "mush"(t/m) or more throttle response in part throttle like s/c has?unloaded the gear in back , cable, ladders etc. and now from a stop, it'll smoke the tires into 2nd gear no prob, burries 120 at high 4rth and drops into 5th still digging. very happy with the first tune, just would like to get rid of the "mush" while driving non wot, tried your first beta v.o2 and was fine except for the surging idle, so put it back to v.01, does this new version, v.02f address the surging idle , or stabilize it? finally got my low end ive waited 2 yrs for. worth it. just trying to work out a few bugs and we'll have it.johan wrote:http://diablosport.com/downloads/predat ... xport.crom

I just got my Predator and installed the 87 High Performance Tune with no issues from Rev 9r01. I also modified it to de-active MDS. I am very pleased how everything is running. I can feel the extra power and throttle response along with better shifting.
I plan to try the 91 tune when I have used up my tank of 89 fuel.
Do you plan to issue this beta as a regular revision once you are satisfied all is good? I am not real keen on trying a beta when everything is good right now.
Last question, when I switch to the 91 tune will I have to load the original tune first or can I load directly to 91 from the 87 predator tune?
Great Product.

HH the new crom made my truck run a lot better I too now burn into second, an the shift is much better with this update, but I didn't kno they could change the part throttle "mush" it would be awesome if they could.HemiHorsePower wrote:for "better shifts", do you mean no tourque mangmt? Idle Surge
For my truck, factory idle is at 500 RPM. For some reason, the first beta update would cause the idle to surge or slowly rise to 700 rpms, then if i tapped the gas, it would return to 500 RPMS. It seems that wot is great, but everything below that, it seems like it takes 2 clicks of the gas pedal for 1 click on the throttle body. When I had the S/C tune, for partial throttle, it had much better throttle respone, and it had totally removed the tourque managment, much better shifting. I'll except what i have, I"m just wondering if they are addressing that.
But all else it great , very happy with the tuner and the trucks performance.

RE: Idle Surge
I see. ,that would be nice to have on the pred.
When I do like second gear pulls from around 35 mph it feels as if somtimes if I hit the pedal around 3/4 of the way, rather than to the floor, it pulls harder, or seems when I'm at WOT it bogs. For some reason.

RE: Idle Surge
I have an 08 and would like to try this update. Do i have to put my shift points and my fuel/spark settings in again when i update it or will the predator remember it? Also do i have to go back to stock before the update?
Sorry if these are basic questions im just a newb and dont want to F anything up.

Re: Idle Surge
So you say before the beta your idle did not do this?? I did not make any changes that would affect that between the two.HemiHorsePower wrote:For my truck, factory idle is at 500 RPM. Is it possible it happens right after you install the tune and then it gets better?
If that is the case i would understand why as whenever you flash the truck the learned adaptive's get reset and needs to relearn.
This will be more pronounced with more mods.
If you want, e-mail me your last tune written and we can try some stuff.
