I should have been more specific with the tunes in the predator. The tunes it comes with you can stack. With that tune I sent you a while ago.. That's right on the "fine line" of stacking... lol. If you want ot send me your backup I'll make you something that shift hard...Excursionist wrote:sohfast94 wrote:As for the list of parameters... They are as follows.
1-2 upshift mph<PArt throttle shifting
2-3 upshift mph
3-4 upshift mph
Global line pressure increase < If you just want all of it to increase and not do things individually
Part throttle shift firmness 1-2, 2-3, 3-4
Shift point rpm 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 These are for WOT shifting.
WOT shift firmness < like the title says.
Speed limiter < self explanatory
Anti-Theft all the excursion guys need this turned on.
Base NOV vehicle speed/RPM This is get the shfiting correct. It will not correc the speedo although it will make the trany shift correctly. The reason it doesn't make the speedo right is because it's controlled through the ABS module... You get into trouble playing wiht those.
Stacking. With a 7.3L stack away! Watch you'r EGT and if you get too carried away you better have a built tranny and good converter.
Played with shifting line pressure parameters. they dont seem as firm as they were in the previous edition. should I adjust anything in the base NOV or does that not apply to my vehicle. if it does apply what would this do?

RE: Re: shifting
i never got to try the tune you sent before my tool wouldn't load it...it was a 40 hp with some hard shifting?
I tried the stack this weekend and it really rocks. had the 110 loaded in and tried level 5 on my Edge on a freeway on ramp. took off real strong. I hear alot more intake WOT than ever before with any tunes even without the EDGE. Whats different?
I will dl a backup to you. should I give you a base file from the current backup or the previous file?

RE: Re: shifting
fuel pressure or line pressure for the tranny? My Cal ID never changed when the dealer installed the new pcm. I have the old file which I think was better and I have the new file. Does it matter?

RE: Re: shifting
oh almost forgot, the reason I am concerned about fuel pressure is Ford warned that somehow fuel pressure can be delivered that exceeds the maximum. Could the max pressure of the pump be more than the lines will hold? Will someone enlighten me please.

RE: Re: shifting
Yes, the pump can overdrive the lines in rare cases... Stacked and tuned I've stilll never had a failure like that though... So I could only imagine the amount of pressure that it takes to make it fail.
