Hey Don, how about setting me up with that tune as well? I use my truck for work , i'm a surveyer, i fuel up every day, and i have to pay for fuel. 2 or 3 miles per gallon would save me a ton of cash. It would be nice if the cruise work on it too....LOL!!!SCGt94 wrote:NGK since your more concerned with mileage, im gunna send you over the economy tune..still makes an assload more torque like 7 something and i believe it was about 60hp to the wheels. Might want to see how this one does on mileage since..well its what its supposed to be made for. Ill send it to you via email in a bit
Don,
I too would like to recieve the mileage tune. I drive 95% highway here on the west coast and would like to have the option of mileage or 900+ "HOLD MY PEPSI AND WATCH THIS" torque!!!!! Also is the tune revised and good to go? I downloaded the 9r10 as soon as it came out then decided to wait a few days to see how the rest of the guys liked it before I put it in my truck, I noticed that the cruise control seems to be fixed from previous posts?, how about the bucking issues? Want to run it so bad I can't stand it, I am running a stock 08 and use mainly tow tune and would like to add mileage when not pulling car hauler.I have been waiting until bugs are out !!!!! Very nice to see the positive posts back, Had alot of depressing posting going on for a while, Thanks Don, Keep on Tuning,

The 9R10 did not fix the CC issue for some users. He made some custom tunes for those people and they beta tested them. They also have to add another new calibration from Ford to the list. The reviews came back that the test files fixed CC and fixed other bugs but it is not incorporated yet into a new revision.
Yea any of these custom tunes i have been doing for people will be on the next revision. I am awaiting NGK's test of the economy tune to see if we can pick up any mileage out of her. If he says he saw some mileage then ill look it over, make sure its what i want and then release 9r11 with the new cal id and all the updated tunes.

Thanks guys,
Concoursd, you were right about my AFE intake causing my DPF operating below peek efficiency code!! I replaced it with the stock air cleaner and haven't had a code since, even took it to ford and they couldn't find anything on the machine, Nice to know that they couldn't see the predator tuner
AFE Intake for sale, hee hee, anyone?
Don, any idea when I could expect to see the 9r11 revision? I know these things take time and are unknowns, but ??? Thanks,
Hoondog

won't be long, just waiting for NGK to get his testing done. I don't mind writing a few customs while we wait though. Rather be safe then sorry with this revision right? Anyone who wants one can post on here just make sure you leave your email, cal id's and what your looking for (power or mileage) and ill get you one sent out asap. I know all those guys posted above want one so shoot me either emails with all that info or post on here.

haha sorry, i get so used to writing that...sorry to call you a spark plug haha.
I assume you're still running that extreme tank down right? If so before you try that economy out, i think i want to send you a different one. I was looking over the fuel tables, comparing em to stock and noticing they had as much as 10% added in the mid range. Which if your getting 10mpg, thats 1mpg i could be saving you if i return them to stock. This shouldn't give you any difference in pedal response but could make all the difference in mileage. Im actually redoing all 4 tunes fuel tables, i wasn't happy with them, they seemed sloppy to me. I think you guys will like this more then the others, I've got two and economy down and im working on the 80hp now.

I am still running the extreme tune, but I found a problem with it last night that I was able to reproduce this morning.SCGt94 wrote:haha sorry, i get so used to writing that...sorry to call you a spark plug haha.

There is a bucking sensation going on while running at a constant speed of around 50mph with rpm's somewhere between 1250 and 1350. Sorry I can't give you the exact rpm as the stock gauge doesn't have small increments.

ok Don here is my first thoughts on the new tunes .....
Running the r10 rev, installed custom tune you sent ..
only run about 50 miles so far , so cant really say about milage..
Transmission shifting is much better, lighter shifts, but seems to keep up at wot.. (nice)
wot postion pulls pretty good, think there is more to find though.
midrange throttle still a little sloppy as far as transission in power (if you know what i mean)
throttle is more responsive then it was, but still not right there ,from dead stop. ( still wouldnt pull out in front of someone)
Cruise control is working, Tc is working, No codes as of Yet.
Was able to clear unit 2 after the battery disconnect.
Like njk350 , have the same bucking thing going on ... seems to be at 1100-1250 rpm, when engine is loaded (lugging)
Turbo pressure is good , hold about 8-10 running flat on highway, but comes right up to 40, when you need it..
With all that said,, I think we are definetly going in the right direction here, I will say Don ,your doing a hell of a job.
I know alot of guys are looking for milage,, (thats cool) , but once we get all the little hickups cleared, and everyone is happy,
I want you to write me a kickass , fuel burning , throw you back in the seat , tune. Not interested in Mileage. (ha ha)
ALSO JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS, FOR ALL THE HARD WORK ON THE 6.4 , YOU ARE THE MAN, LOL

pic thank you for the excellent review. Im sending you another custom, this guy has timing removed down low (basically the 4 degrees i added) If this cures the buck then we found the problem and that's another step in the right direction. Im not sure how far ive come since i last sent you a custom pic, so this extreme has all the updates NJK and i have been working on.
