SCGt94 wrote:yea it still picks up torque and all that good stuff, but when it lacks the extremes 900 ft lbs your so used to, well yea you get the picture haha

I just revised the extreme just now with another 3 degrees added to the top end. If you wanna just forget about the economy and test this one thats fine, they will all get the same timing in the cruise area anyway, ill shoot you it over now.
I'll finish the test out with the economy tune before I try the new extreme.

Thanks Don.

Don just got back from a ride on the latest extreme tune you sent. 7-29-09 . although the bucking may be gone , the truck has no power. boost that you said would be up 10 psi , is actually lower then the first tune. cant spool any higher then 32psi . what happend? did you send me the wrong tune? kind of seems like a flat tow tune.......

i gonna switch back to the other tune , i would rather the bucking then getting past out by a volvo haha.

let me know whats up .. i was thinking we were on to something .. not with that one..

the custum tune you sent me today feels pretty good, a little lag in the pedal but mid range and up there seems to be alot of power. the mpg gauge already started to move upward on a 40mi total drive! Ill give it a shot and let u know how it goes.

I do some towing on the weekends (6000lbs), this tune might not be ok for that, WDYT?

hmmm, interesting. Raising those expected map tables actually lowered boost huh? interesting concept. Might be hitting a clip in the software then. I guess that table needs to be left alone then. But good to hear about the no bucking.

F250 yea you def dont wanna use that one for towing, ill send you a custom for towing.

Don Just a thought , all the guys talking about the boost being to high, might want to look into this extreme tune.

put about 80 miles on this tune, running down the highway it runs 5-10 psi boost, of all the tunes we been playing

with, that is the lowest i have ever seen the boost. Dont get me wrong, the truck runs really well mid range on this

tune, very smooth acceleration and doesnt stumble any. might be a good tune for some of the guys.

But you know me i am about the power. Ship me the next beta when you can. pic

Alright so i switched that table back to what i had it at before pic so you will get all your boost back. I also played with the fuel tables in the mid area and right off idle if its matted. I see how the factory ramps in fuel to reduce soot. Problem with giving you 100% right off idle is you'll get more soot and more regen. I set it to 100 for the extreme and 80 but the others won't get it. It will only go to 100% if you mat it anyway, so don't expect any more then the usual regen if you drive it normally. This should help with the "lag" you guys are feeling with wot runs from a stand stand, its just how the factory did the fuel curve. Its not like the old 7.3 where you get all the fuel right as the pedal goes down

hmm thanks pic on that..maybe ill add those tables to the economy and tow tunes, to sorta limit boost down while cruising. Might help with mileage. Pic i gotta another extreme tune coming to you now. See if throttle response matting it from a stand still is any better and mide range was uped about 40% to give it some more fueling for part throttle merging into traffic situations.

give me alittle while, i might decide to release the 9r11 tunes today since most of the feedback has been good but i wanna try and get rid of the lag in the throttle at least on the extreme and 80hp tunes.
