9r10 for the 6.4 guys is up and ready for download

No that tool can't handle more then 1 custom tune. All i have been doing is tweaking the tunes i have been sending you and over writing them on my end. Don't worry though the last tune i sent you should have all your boost back along with some better throttle response from a dig. Give a try and let me know asap. I know people want these tunes released. Once its good for the average enthusiast pic, ill write you some custom extremes for your needs.

Hey Don Saturday night just got back from testing the latest tune you sent. throttle response is not any better, and the boost still wont climb over 32-35 psi , not sure whats going on with the tunes , but boost was 40+ before. truck will pull hard, and really shifts good at wot , but it pulled harder with the 40+ boost. no bucking at all. midrange seems ok. no codes at all
i do notice transmission downshifts alot sooner under load, Not a big fan of that. I think holding the final gear and letting the
engine lug, was saving on the fuel. Just my opinion.. I do know that the "throw you back in the seat" feeling is gone in this tune.
well thats about it for me , run about 300 mile today ...... Oh by the way fuel milage on this trip was 15.5.. little petal stoming
going on though. let me know..................

Don,
Still testing the Economy tune. City driving mileage is horrible. Got 11.8 driving in town. Highway seems to be anywhere from 14.5 to 17.5, but I'm relying on the onboard computer at this point. Haven't filled up yet and I'm not driving for a few days. Will fill up again on Tuesday for the true highway number.
I'm with Pic on going back to the Extreme tune that throws you back into your seat. I was getting a consistent 12.5 around town and probably 13.5 to 14 on the highway.

Pic thats strange about the boost, the only table i touched related to boost i switched back to what i had it at before. There is no reason boost isn't climbing as high as it did before. Before loading up a new custom tune, attach the tool to ds down loader and go to options>erase custom tune. Wipe the previous one then download the new one. Maybe its just not over writing one of a similar name? It should be its just a thought. The only things i have messed with is fueling and timing. Other then that shifting, etc should all be the same.

Don,
Hoondog here with an update. Ran the truck on three day weekend. Here are my results;
economy tune 17.0mpg
original tune 16.7mpg
tow tune 16.5mpg
extreme tune 15.8mpg
These results were with 100 deg temps, dry heat, a/c on, truck unloaded with 4 people in it driving 70-72 mph. I did notice that I lost cruise control on all tunes but the original back up and the economy tune you sent me. I have the 9r10 update and assume it has something to do with the updating process??? I have to say that the economy tune is great except no bottom end (really sluggish).

awesome hoon, all the newer tunes will be a bit better on the mileage, as well as the throttle reponse coming back a bit. The reason for the sluggish feeling is that the factory ramps fuel in to reduce soot. On a 6.0, you put your foot down, you get 100% fuel. On the 6.4, you put your foot down, you get 34% fuel until the rpms rise, then it ramps in slowly. The base tables don't even got to 100%! they only reach 70%. The extreme and 80hp dont ramp it anymore. The tow and the economy having the ramping reduced significantly. all have 100% as you nail it but only when its all the way to floor. The extreme and 80hp both also have beefed up mid ranges, which may hurt economy if your more then 1/2 on the pedal but itll give it a much better "I'm not afraid to merge into traffic" feel.
So those who don't want to read all 16 pages..
1. Crusie and TCC is fixed, that was my bad on the update process.
2. Mileage should be up around highway speeds, city is tough bc the trucks dont like timing around 1300rpm, they start to buck.
3. Pedal feel should be real good on extreme and 80hp, economy and tow will be better but not in the range of the 80 and extreme.
4. Hole shots should feel better since your now getting 100% fuel when you hammer it down.
5. Shifting was obviously already fixed.
Like i said, mileage is being a bitch on these trucks, pic is picking up 2mpg, NJK is picking up some too, hoon dog is seeing a smaller increase. I think its just one of those things that once your are used to the tune, you will notice the mileage increases. Most people are pedal happy at first with the new tunes since well you are getting quite a bit more torque and it is fun heh.
