Cannot tune the truck, first time the tool has been used....

Post by bitecho »

Tuner says that my "current calibration is not supported". "Predator was able to read a backup. You will need to export the backup using DS Downloader and call (800) 531-5484 x1" Has anyone else had this issue with a LMM truck? The truck is stock, only been to GM. Only thing that the dealer has changed is the TPMS pressure settings when I went to a different type of tire...... I have exported the file to DS, now what? Tech support will not awnser the phone, I work the same hours that they do.... Is there any support during off hours or weekends?

I would have thought that they would have some tech support on Saturday. At least half the day.... I had this issue when the tool arrived on wednesday, but like most of the 91% of the people that are still employeed in this country, the tech line is open same hours that I work. I can't play with the truck while I am at work...... Maybe, I should put this in the suggestion box. Saturday tech support. I don't like to work on the weekends either, but when a customer calls me on a weekend because there is a problem with there equipment, I answer the call. Part of doing buisness....

Yes, I just bought the tool from Summit Racing Equipment this week. Checked the revison, it is 9r12. This is my second Predator tuner that I have purchased, the first was for my GTO. No issues with that one, so I purchased one for my truck. I spoke with a friend at our local Diablosport dealer, he told me that I would have to call tech on Monday.....

I have found one other post that is simmular to mine. All that I got from it was that the truck had to be flashed by GM before the programmer would work. I don't see why the unit just can't download what is in the ECM and make a copy of it. The only thing that has ever been plugged into the diagnostic connector is a GM Tech II scanner. This is a list of what is on the ECM as listed by the Predator:

12628596 Boot Software
12628594 Main OS
12628796 Speedometer
12628787 System
12628785 Fuel System
12628779 Engine Dianostic
12628778 Engine Operation
12628798 Engine
12628595 Slave OS

Went through the GM Tech site to get the cal history on the truck. Truck was in the shop two months ago for a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor, calibration was up to date.

The fact that you get replies to emails and forum posts constanty means we suck, huh?

Im sorry, once again, that you're not happy with my 'lack of service', but dont go spreading it around as if everyone will be as upset as you with the answers they get.

Thanks
