updating i-1000

My truck is set on 87 tune right now. going to be plugging it into comp for the first time to check for updates (place I bought it from updated and set on 87 tune for me when I got it). do I need to return to stock tune before doing so? or just reload 87 tune after updates if there are any? (I,m guessing they did registration also ).

also i just pluged into comp went through registration didnt get email to finish... retry and it says its done already .....confuzzed?

you're good to update without restoring

comp is saying cant find drivers for it . the reason I asked first question is he seemed leary on update while at shop. but it says is up to date on my comp. sat in seat as he loaded 87 into my truck , drove home about 9 miles and not being able to tell a difference . wonder if its working correctly or not.

should I give update a try? maybe it needs to be driven longer to learn new setting ???

upon 2nd try drivers were not loaded but still says already registered and I never got email to finish ... maybe he done that at shop? o well guess i,ll keep assing around with it

were do i find serial no for unit ? giving regestration another go .. noticed year and such was correct but not motor size?

I would like to possibly start from scratch here if I need to, having many lock up problems trying to change to diablo setting, unplug and tryed again with success now i've got the little 4.8 litre woke up .still need to get registration figured out ....
