15+ ZF8 TCM support now available on i2/i3

Post by mikel »

The latest i2/i3 updates add support for 2015+ 8 speed TCM models.
There is one preloaded perf trans tune, and custom tuning is an option as well.

Thanks

Great news.

Do you know what was adjusted in the canned perf trans tune? it's raining here so won't be able to test it too aggressively. ;)

Updated my i2. Plugged it into the truck.

Vehicle is not supported.

checked for more updates, nothing found. (both wifi and connected to ignition)

info.xml attached.

Still have my custom tune on the truck from Sean...

Its not showing an update request here.
Can you try restoring the stock tune then try reloading and agree if it asks for an update at that point?

Thanks

I can't restore stock tune now that it was updated though. I click on the 'tune' and it comes back right away that the vehicle isn't supported.

Is there a way to restore stock tune?

Maybe we should be restoring stock tunes before updating the device?

lets reset it.
go to settings/advanced/tech support/advanced/registry reset and type out the key it displays and email to me to make it quick.

Email sent. Sorry, I didn't see this message right away.

am sure I missed you for today.. so don't worry about the one I sent you actually.. since the key is different every time it is run... not leaving it plugged in and turned on at that screen till Monday. :-)

How long does the update take? Hooked it up to the computer and it's been checking/installing updates for half an hour now

it is married to your pcm and tcm from what I can tell, yes. You would have had to select a tcm tune and saw it read and write the TCM...
