Re: list of the tunes for the i2030 GMC 04 5.3L
Get a custom tune from CMR tuner Lewis Eaton. That is if you want the absolute most out of your tuner he built two tunes for my truck and they are incredible.

Re: Only 1 tune?
Really strange never heard this one before. WHen you ran the update did you save any update to the root drive and not the tune files. It seems to be one of the misunderstood parts about saving updates be sure to not try and save in any files only to the root drive I2, just a thought . Mike and the ...

Re: Killer Tune for 2016 Sierra SLT
Use the canned tune and let it run for a week or so plus 200 miles for ecm to learn fuel trims etc. every vehicle is different and the best way I found is to get a cmr tuning from 06monteSS as he will get logs of your vehicle and build your custom tune for your truck that works awesome. I got both ...

Re: 2013 silverado Ltz z71 settings questions
You may want to put a couple hundred miles on the tune first, it will change as computer learns and adjust to new program.

Re: 87 tune spark knock
I wouldn't think so, mine is a 2008 with afm also and had 90000 on it before the tune was installed. Only difference is I got an 87 and 93 custom tune from Lew aka (monte66). I have had the throttle body cleaned and occasionally run royal purple fuel treatment cause todays fuels are absolute garbage ...

Re: 87 tune spark knock
93 octane is the reason no detonation at 235. 87 octane has lower flash point and will pre fire at those temps for sure. he is running 87 which engine temps can cause these issues. But I am leaning more towards bad fuel or something in gas tank that don't belong there.

Re: 87 tune spark knock
Question for ya. Does the issue only occur when engine is up in temperature or all times? I had issues with detonation and the problem was with the t-stat was getting engine up to 220 which was causing detonation, just a thought.

Re: 2015 Sierra- rattle when accelerating
Almost sure you got detonation issue. Try to up grade your octane rating and stay with Sunoco and see if it stops. If it does it may be due to the adjustment on throttle boost which may advance your timing a bit thus requiring more octane. I run 93 octane with a cmr custom tune for high octane and ...

Re: AFM/DOD is it just ON/OFF or can a speed be set?
Ditto on that Lew. Throttle response is better and mileage increased. That AFM is bad news seen a lot of late model GM products burning oil early in their life, it is just plain garbage to install this kind of technology that has so little benefit.

Re: Tuning multiple vehicles with one tuner
Well I went to buy additional license to tune son in laws 2012 Silverado and wife tossed the box with the serial number. I was also gonna get him a custom tune from Lew. I am trying not to choke the s@#t out of her, she's got a bad habit of getting into my stuff and tossing it. What is the cost of ...
