quick question to piggy back off what has been discussed here. it's been a while since I've posted anything on the Diablosport forum.

my LTFTs have always ranged in the +6 to +7% since I've owned the Predator. right now I'm running an adjustment of -7% on the injector slope. during a ride today ...

thank you sir! :D

So, my situation must have been that I raised the MPH upshift too high and the RPMs not high enough. I achieved the RPM shift point, but not the MPH causing the confusion in the computer. I'll go lower the upshift MPH back to stock and keep the RPMs the same.

Diablosport to the ...

RPM shift points vs MPH shift points

On my model predator, U7193, I can change both the RPMs and MPH of the 1-2 shifts and 2-3 shifts seperatly. I believe I've added like 2 MPH and 1-200 RPM in the 1-2 shift, and about the same in the 2-3 shift. Here's my question:

If they're not aligned, which one does the computer default to in a ...

On the way into work this morning cruising at 65 I was getting 24 mpg. That is an increase of about 4-5 mpg from stock!!!

geez, do you have 3.42 gears?
I'm guessing that MPG was what the DIC read? double check that number with the actual calculated MPG's when you fill up. I'm betting, from ...

Re: RE: WOT fuel

That info is based on the assumption that before your inj. slope change, the WOT A/F was correct, so after adding fuel with the inj slope change, you would need to remove what you added at WOT to get back to where you were prior to the change.

without the ability to get the exact A/F ratio at WOT ...

I've never found the DIC to be accurate anyway. When I would calculate actual miles and actual fuel pumped into the tank, I'd be 1.5 to 2 MPG lower on the DIC.

stock my DIC would be off .5-1 MPG. with the LTFTs dialed in, I'm off 1.5-2.5 MPG, (never gets closer than 1.5 MPG). Does look cool to ...

WOT fuel

predator u7193, 05 silverado, 5.3 iron block. LTFTs already dialed in

on the adjustable perameters explained page, under injector slope, it says:

"Once you get the average long term fuel trim value:
For a positive value you subtract that value in percent in the predator injector slope. It is also ...

it also says for a postive LTFT value to subtract from the injector slope " It is also recommended to lean both fuel tables by the same percentage " refering to the adjustment made to the injector slope. Are they talking about the WOT fueling?

So we're making the LTFT's richer by adding fuel. then ...

Okay, okay, okay. I've read this LTFT thing over and over and I don't understand why it says that if the LTFT is positive the PCM is adding fuel. So negate the LTFT to the corresponding number in order to fool the PCM to think it now has smaller injectors to work with in which it nows adds more ...

alright, i've done some researching on KR and it's causes. In what I've found, I did read about how water can get into the Knock Sensors and cause them to give out false KR readings. Other possible causes include:

1) bad gas (could be the winter blend??)
2) running too lean (which if I've dialed ...

random KR while cruising

hey guys, been a while since I've posted anything on here. here goes...

I had my LTFTs dialed in last August, but with the colder winter months my trucks been running a little lean (+1-2 on the LTFTs)

So on a trip to see my fiance, I subtracted a little more from the injector slope to get back ...

no, the dataviewer is only for the new 9rXX units that can save logs... not you...

and no again, you can not upgrade to the new version, since the older ones are not internet updatable... cuz the NEW ones are using different hardware... again, not you...

:(
Thanks Lew, you saved me a trip to ...

Mike, also on the download page for the U7193 there is:

Data Viewer (production version)
does this apply to those of us who can't log? and if so, what does it do?

and

Release 9r03 (current)
can the old units upgrade to this version? are there a few specific advantages it offers?

I'm in the ...
