RE: Installed catless mids and new H-pipe, how does it look?

Well actually, no codes right now. I seem to remember being able to get to the part in the programmer that tunes the cat temps to the point of taking them out of the system, but can't remember where now! So, when I do get a code I will let you know. Thanks for the thumbs up though.

Thanks

Installed catless mids and new H-pipe, how does it look?

I just installed the catless mid pipes, and had an X-pipe but took it out and replaced it with the H-pipe. I have a set of Gibson rear mufflers. Now I took a data run and here it is. I would like your opinion about the numbers and would like to know how to turn off ...

Is there a 93 octane tune?

u7191
v.8r09
2005 Pontiac GTO

I have put the 91 octane tune in it, but have made some adjustments because of using 93 octane. Is there a tune for 93 octane fuel?

Just one more question, can I adjust the ltft for different rpms? Like leaner for cruising and not just WOT? If I really get on the car ...

Eliminating Cat converter, what next?

I ordered the cat eliminator pipes for my car. I have read that the Predator can program the rear o2 sensors out. And I have seen the link where there are hardware pieces that wire into the o2 sensor wires, eliminating ...

I have been tweaking the setting. Cats still on, but next week I am gutting them. I asked in another posting about the cats so I will look for an answer there for that. Just curious what you think about these numbers ...

o2 sensor question.

2005 Pontiac GTO

I have been planning to get rid of the cats on my car. If I do, should I get a retune sent to me first to shut off the rear o2 sensors, or can I run it, turn of the COT protection, get a data log reading, send it to you and THEN have a performance tune installed?

I did a search ...

COT protection?

How about this portion of the tuning then, fuel is "added" to cool down the catalytic converters. Is there an explanation as to how much is added and what happens if this is turned off with the cats still in the system?

I don't see any fuel fitting that goes directly into the cat, so I am guessing ...

RE: Gray exhaust pipes.......ever?

There weren't really any problems before the tune and it seems to run pretty well after the tune. I don't have any o2 codes , well I don't have any codes at all and haven't since I've owned the car. I have noticed the exhaust getting darker the more I drove it before the tune. I had heard that these ...

Gray exhaust pipes.......ever?

After doing some tuning and tweaking, is there ever the chance that my 2005 GTO will have a maintained light gray exhaust color. Right now it is pretty dark, rich, but after sending my log in from my data, it was said that my numbers looked pretty good. Both ltfs were between 0 and -2 as prefered ...

Catalytic temps?

After tuning some with the predator, I was looking at the cat temps. They stay pretty much from upper 1400 to 1500 degrees. This is at a steady speed while running a real time log. Is there a temp I should be that should be considered "normal"? I know timing and fuel affect these things, but was ...

RE: Whats with the 2 banks for ltft in the predator logging?

Well, that is very good to hear. Wish you could say the same about my 401K....lol. It does run better and pops less on deceration, although that really never did bother me. I am going to adjust the advance numbers like you mentioned earlier and I may tweak the LTFT by that 1%. I hope to add more ...

RE: Whats with the 2 banks for ltft in the predator logging?

I am not sure what you want or how I can put up the results from my log so you can see how it looks. Let me know and I will get it up. I edited my first post on this page and it has a cvs attachment, but not sure if you want to try that, but if you do, it is safe, I just somehow added another cvs to ...

RE: Whats with the 2 banks for ltft in the predator logging?

Just one more question. Here in Louisiana, I use 93 octane fuel. As you know the predator has a 91 tune. Without you having to write a new program for me, are there a few perameters that I can go a little more with for this higher octane? Unless that is something you might want to or need to do in ...
